How we reviewed this: HHZ didn’t test this concentrator hands-on. This review is written from the manufacturer’s user manual, spec sheet and product page, linked below, plus a U.S. retail price checked on 13 October 2026. We don’t report comfort, noise or reliability impressions we haven’t measured. Your prescriber decides whether a pulse-dose or continuous-flow device meets your needs.

What autoSAT changes
Without autoSAT, the pulse per breath shrinks as you breathe faster, so oxygen per minute stays fixed. With autoSAT, CAIRE’s manual shows the pulse held constant up to a cap:
| Breaths per minute | Setting 3, standard | Setting 3, autoSAT |
|---|---|---|
| 15 | 42.0 mL | 31.5 mL |
| 20 | 31.5 mL | 31.5 mL |
| 30 | 21.0 mL | 31.5 mL |
| 40 | 15.8 mL | 26.3 mL |
That matters on exertion, when breathing speeds up. Whether it’s enabled is a provider setting, and CAIRE says autoSAT is “available in select geographies”.
Source conflicts we found
| Claim | Manual | CAIRE product page |
|---|---|---|
| Sound | Max 43.0 dBA at setting 2 | 39.9 dBA |
| Battery, single / double | Up to 6 h / 11 h (setting 1) | Up to 8 h (8-cell) / 16 h (16-cell) |
We use the manual’s figures for planning.
Verdict
From the documents, the FreeStyle Comfort stands out for autoSAT and an oxygen monitor, with a 3-year warranty that includes the sieve beds. It tops out at setting 5 (1,050 mL/min), below the six-setting Rove 6 and OxyGo NEXT, and its manual battery times are lower than the marketing. See Rove 6 vs FreeStyle Comfort for the head-to-head.
