Inogen Rove 6 review: specs, battery and price

3 min read By HHZ Editorial Next review

The Inogen Rove 6 is a 4.8 lb pulse-dose portable oxygen concentrator with six settings (210–1,260 mL/min), 90% oxygen, an operating altitude to 10,000 ft and an 8-year expected service life. The standard battery runs up to 6:15 at setting 1 and 1:15 at setting 6; the extended battery doubles that. It cost $2,795 direct from Inogen on 13 October 2026, with a 3-year warranty. It's Inogen's replacement for the One G5. This review is based on documents, not hands-on testing.

How we reviewed this: HHZ didn’t test this concentrator hands-on. This review is written from the manufacturer’s user manual, spec sheet and product page, linked below, plus a U.S. retail price checked on 13 October 2026. We don’t report comfort, noise or reliability impressions we haven’t measured. Your prescriber decides whether a pulse-dose or continuous-flow device meets your needs.

Source conflicts we found

  • Sound: the manual and product page say 39 dBA at setting 2; Inogen’s March 2026 spec sheet says 37 dBA.
  • Service life conditions: the manual states 8 years with no condition. The consumer FAQ says “up to 8 years when used less than 5 hours per day”; Inogen’s provider site says “less than 8 hours per day”.
  • Page copy: the product page’s comparison block shows “Up to 6 hrs 7 mins” of battery, which matches the Rove 4, not the Rove 6. We use the manual’s table.

Strengths and limits

StrengthsLimits
Six settings up to 1,260 mL/minPulse only: no continuous flow
8-year rated service lifeNot for use with CPAP, per the manual
Long battery at low settingsShort runtime at settings 5–6 on the standard battery
Same output as the G5 it replaces3-year standard warranty is shorter than OxyGo’s 5

Verdict

From the documents, the Rove 6 is a well-specified mid-weight pulse POC with a wide setting range and Inogen’s longest rated service life. If you’re on setting 5 or 6, budget for the extended battery. The OxyGo NEXT matches its output with a longer warranty, and the CAIRE FreeStyle Comfort is the main rival.
