Privacy policy

HHZ Respiratory Review is a publication. We keep the data we collect to the minimum needed to run the site, respond to reader email, and understand in aggregate what content is useful. This page describes what is collected, why, and how to reach us with privacy concerns.

What we collect

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand in aggregate what content is read, from which countries, and over what kind of connection. GA4 sets first-party cookies (_ga and _ga_<stream-id>) used to distinguish one browser session from another. It also records the URL requested, the referrer, an approximate geographic region derived from your IP address (the IP itself is truncated by Google before storage), the browser and OS family, screen size, and the standard GA4 Enhanced Measurement events (page views, scrolls, outbound clicks, file downloads, site-search queries). Data is sent to Google's servers and retained per Google's published retention window.

We do not turn on Google Signals, Google-Ads-linked advertising features, or cross-site user-ID stitching. We do not use the data for advertising or remarketing. If you want to opt out of GA4 across all sites that use it, install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or enable your browser's Do Not Track / Global Privacy Control signals (we honour GPC for US-CCPA-covered visitors).

Contact forms and email

If you write to us (at any of the @homehealthzone.com addresses on our contact page) or use a contact form on the site, we retain the message and the email address you sent it from so we can reply and, where relevant, follow up on corrections or tips. We do not add these addresses to any marketing list. We do not send unsolicited email.

Server logs

Our hosting provider generates standard web-server access logs (IP address, request path, user-agent, response code, timestamp). These are used for security and rate-limiting and are retained for 30 days.

What we do not do

• We do not run advertising trackers or retargeting pixels on the site.
• We do not enable Google Signals, Google Ads linkage, or cross-site user-ID stitching in our GA4 property. Analytics are used to measure aggregate content performance, not to target you.
• We do not sell or share personal data with third parties for commercial purposes.
• We do not build reader profiles, and we do not fingerprint devices.

Your rights

You can email grievance@homehealthzone.com to:

• Request a copy of any personal data we hold about you (which, for most readers, is limited to email correspondence if you have written to us).
• Ask us to delete any personal data we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct personal data we hold.
• Raise a concern about how we have handled your data.

We will respond within the timelines applicable under Indian law and, where stricter, under the privacy law of your jurisdiction of residence.

Third-party embeds

Our pages do not embed third-party content that would pull a visitor's browser into another domain's tracking ecosystem. Where we link to an external site — a manufacturer's page, a peer-reviewed paper, a regulatory document — that site's privacy policy applies to what happens after you click the link.

Children

HHZ Respiratory Review is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has contacted us, email grievance@homehealthzone.com and we will delete the correspondence.

The grievance officer acknowledges reader grievances within 24 hours and resolves them within 15 days, as required by the Rules.

Changes to this policy

When we update this privacy policy, the effective date at the bottom of the page will change and, for material revisions, a visible notice will appear on the page for 30 days. Historical versions are available on request.
