How we reviewed this: HHZ didn’t test these masks hands-on. This comparison is written from ResMed’s U.S. user guides, linked below, plus prices checked on ResMed’s eShop on 13 October 2026. Mask fit is personal; we don’t report comfort impressions we haven’t measured.

Magnet warning (both masks)
ResMed’s guides say to keep the magnets at least 2 in away from active implants or medical devices that magnets can affect, and list contraindications including aneurysm clips and metal splinters in one or both eyes. The magnetic field is under 400 mT. If you or your bed partner has a medical implant, ask your doctor before using either mask. A magnet-free option on the nasal side is the P10 or N30i.
Who should pick which
| You… | Better fit |
|---|---|
| Need pressure above 30 cmH2O | F20 |
| Want less mask on your face and the tube on top | F30i |
| Want the lower published sound | F30i |
| Have a magnet-sensitive implant | Neither without your doctor’s approval |
| Are on a tight budget | F20 |
Verdict
The F20 is the cheaper, higher-pressure traditional full-face mask. The F30i is the quieter, more minimal design with tubing that runs over your head. For mouth breathers who move a lot, the F30i is worth trying first; for high pressures, the F20.
