Portable oxygen concentrators in Singapore are mostly sold on enquiry: E-xclusif and Medworx list the Inogen Rove 6, E-xclusif the Scaleo P5, and Philips Singapore the SimplyGo Mini, all without public prices. O2genes publishes S$3,990 for its 1.98 kg pulse-dose unit. To fly on Singapore Airlines the model must be FAA-approved, with batteries for 150% of flight time.

O2genes does not name the manufacturer of its unit on the product page, so ask before buying, especially if you plan to fly with it.

Philips Singapore says the SimplyGo Mini can be used 24/7 at home or away when used as its manual describes, that its battery lasts up to 9 hours (on a new, fully charged battery, falling with age and use) and that it meets FAA requirements for air travel.

Accessories

Medworx lists SimplyGo accessories in SGD: a mobile cart for S$75, an AC power supply for S$320 and an extra battery for S$650 (the last two out of stock on 14 October 2026). Spare batteries are a real cost for long-haul flights.

Pulse-dose versus continuous flow

O2genes describes its unit as pulse-dose: it releases a burst of oxygen each time you breathe in. A home concentrator such as the Yuwell models sold in Singapore delivers a continuous flow in litres per minute. Pulse settings are not litres per minute, so a portable is only a substitute if your doctor prescribes it for you.

Flying with it

Singapore Airlines accepts only FAA-approved portable concentrators. Its rules:

  • No approval needed to use an FAA-approved POC on board.
  • Stowed under the seat in front while in use.
  • Batteries for 150% of flight time, because in-seat power is not guaranteed.
  • Contact SIA at least 48 hours ahead; bring a doctor’s fitness-to-travel certificate.
  • No bulkhead or exit-row seats.

Full rules: flying from Singapore with CPAP or oxygen.

Battery planning, worked example. For a 13-hour flight, SIA’s rule means 19.5 hours of battery. At Philips’ rated maximum of 9 hours per new SimplyGo Mini battery, that is three batteries, and actual run time at your setting may be shorter.

Bringing one into Singapore

A POC bought abroad and brought in for personal use needs HSA approval before you arrive.

Paying for it

AIC’s subsidy schemes are written around home devices and rental. Oxygen concentrator subsidies explains the Seniors’ Mobility and Enabling Fund and the Equipment Rental Scheme; ask AIC whether a portable model qualifies for your case.

Frequently asked questions

How much is a portable oxygen concentrator in Singapore?
Few suppliers publish prices. O2genes listed its portable concentrator at S$3,990 on 14 October 2026. Inogen, Scaleo and Philips models were price-on-request.
Can a portable concentrator replace my home machine?
Only if your doctor agrees. The O2genes unit, for example, delivers pulse-dose oxygen, which is not the same as the continuous flow of a home machine. Check your prescription.
