Spare parts cost less than a mask
cpap.com.au sells spares such as the Philips DreamWear silicone pillow cushion for $89, the F&P Brevida pillow seal for $65 and F&P Solo pillows for $75. ResMed’s shop lists the AirFit F40 QuietAir vent at $12.95. Purpose-designed spare parts for a GST-free item are GST-free too.
Who pays
State programs often supply the machine but not the mask. EnableNSW, for example, expects Home Respiratory Program clients to buy CPAP masks themselves (EnableNSW guide). ResMed Australia says some private health funds contribute to masks.
